Indian esports tournament organiser Skyesports is bringing the PNC 2023 Qualifiers for Indian PC gamers.

The PNC is a globally renowned PC gaming tournament, and the 2023 edition will be conducted in Seoul, South Korea. In Seoul, 16 of the world’s best PC squads will compete for a share of the US$300,000 prize pool. The qualifiers will feature an open-for-all format split across various stages to give every gamer a chance at going pro.

Skyesports founder and CEO Shiva Nandy said, “We are proud to be hosting the inaugural Qualifiers, which will send a team from India to PNC 2023 in South Korea for the first time. With a remarkable Rs 20,00,000 prize pool, this is set to be the biggest esports event for a battle royale title for PCs in India. We are thrilled to be able to contribute to the growth of the gaming community and the thriving esports ecosystem in India by hosting this tournament. We look forward to witnessing the display of skill, strategy and talent that will be showcased by Indian players as they pave their way to make a mark on the global stage.”

Registrations for the PNC 2023 Qualifiers are currently open on the official website until 19 July, with only 64 open slots in the event. The Qualifier is set to happen across three phases which are as follows: 

  • Quarter Finals: 21 and 22 July
  • Semi-Finals: 23 to 25 July
  • Grand Finals: 28 to 30 July

In the Quarterfinals, the initial 64 teams will be divided into four groups, with each group consisting of 16 teams. These groups will compete in six matches each. From each group, the six best-performing teams will move forward to the semifinals.

During the semifinals, the 24 remaining teams will be divided into three groups, each comprising eight teams. Throughout this stage, each team will participate in a total of 12 matches. However, only the top 16 teams with the highest scores will progress to the Grand Finale.

These 16 teams representing the best of India, will then compete in the PNC 2023 Qualifiers Grand Finals for the chance to represent the country at the PNC 2023 in South Korea.
