Gaming enthusiasts filled the Entertainment Zone at Gamescom Asia 2023 on 21 and 22 October. The hall was abuzz with excitement as fans enjoyed the array of programmes lined up for them, such as live performances, panels, game demos and tournaments throughout the day.

The Entertainment Zone’s main stage featured panels like “Skull and Bones’ Tech Art: Building Ships & Making Waves” by Ubisoft Singapore, “Let’s Play! With Ryōzō Tsujimoto” from the producer of the Monster Hunter series by Capcom, “Honkai: Star Rail” with the game’s voice actors, and “Discover your next favourite game” with Xbox Game Pass.

The event further featured “Cosplay Fashion Show – Walk of Valor and Might” in collaboration with Singapore Cosplay Club. Attendees got a chance to meet cosplayers and content creators Kitz Cua and Charess, and Honkai: Star Rail voice actors Su Ling Chan and Craig Lee Thomas.

They could also try out over 100 games titles (current and upcoming new releases), over 200 board games, and shop for merchandise and hardware in the Entertainment Zone. The game titles included Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (PlayStation), Just Dance 2024 (PlayStation), S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl (4Divinity), Atomic Heart (Epicsoft Asia), Assassin’s Creed: Mirage (Ubisoft) as well as over 50 games from independent developers from all over the world.

Other highlights of the exhibition area included the Indie Zone by Indie Wavemakers, which featured over 30 game publishers, as well as the Retro Games Zone and Board Games Zone. Games showcased at Gamescom Asia are also featured on the event’s Steam Festival.

Players and fans watched the exciting esports live action of the Street Fighter 6 tournament for three days. The Top 16 competitors in the tournament battled it out fiercely on 22 October, with Gachikun emerging as the champion.

Fans from around the world joined in the excitement of Gamescom Asia 2023 virtually with online show Studio. Hosted by Yosuke (English), Dejet (Bahasa Indonesia), Mint (Thai), it showcased extended demos, gameplays, indie studios and Southeast Asian games.

Gamescom Asia 2023 concluded on Sunday, 22 October, with crowds enjoying the best of gaming and esports content at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre in Singapore. Gamers and fans immersed themselves in the festivities of gameplay, tournaments, and stage entertainment. Bringing developers, publishers, investors, players and fans under one roof, the event is organised by Koelnmesse Singapore and supported by game – the Association for the German Games Industry.
