The fourth edition of World Poker Tour India (WPT), hosted by Adda52, concluded after seven days of intense gameplay at the Deltin Royale in Goa. This year, WPT India set a new record with 2700 entries, and a massive prize pool of Rs. 11.8 Crores.

The final table of the main event at the Deltin Royale was a showcase of top-notch poker skills and strategic thinking, with players battling it out for hours to secure a place in the winner’s circle. In the end, it was Prasit Chowdhury who emerged victorious, taking home the coveted title and a massive prize of Rs. 86.60 lakhs plus a $10,400 seat into the WPT World Championship. The runner-up Amit Tejuram with a prize of Rs. 57.75 lakhs put up a tough competition, making the final table full of excitement and anticipation. Additionally, Chowdhury was announced as The Player of the Festival (POF), with a trophy, a cash prize of $5,000, and a chance to compete at the WPT Main Event across the globe.

Commenting on his victory, Chowdhury said “I am ecstatic to have won the main event of the World Poker Tour India. It’s an honour to be named the champion among such a talented field of players. The competition was fierce, and it was an intense battle to the finish line. I am grateful for the support of my friends and family. I also want to thank Adda52 for organising such an exceptional event and providing us with a top-notch poker experience. I am looking forward to defending my title next year.”

The event witnessed thrilling poker tournaments under different categories such as WPT Superstack No Limit Holdem (NLH), and WPT 50K Freezeout among others. Mithun Mahesh emerged as the winner under Superstack NLH while Adithya NG claimed victory under the 50K Freezeout category. This year’s edition had massive participation from women players as well across all categories. In the WPT Ladies NLH tournament, Kanchan Sharma took the top spot followed by Radhika Shankar as the runner-up. The culmination of an action-packed poker tournament event at the Deltin Royale witnessed a total of 857 entries, competing to embark on their journey for the WPT main event.

Winner of the High Rollers table, Gagandeep Malik said, “I am thrilled to have won the high rollers table at the World Poker Tour India.
